Authority: Darlington County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article IV., Division 5

Membership: This Board consists of 12 members with all appointments confirmed by County Council. Five (5) members shall be appointed by County Council for a 4-year term. Five (5) members nominated for appointment by Darlington Progress for a 4-year term, two (2) of which shall be top executives of existing Darlington County businesses/industries. One (1) member nominated for appointment by Duke Energy for a 4-year term. One (1) member nominated for appointment by Pee Dee Electric Coop for a 4-year term. Only 1 appointee per organization

Responsibilities: Perform the functions of planning, developing, maintaining, equipping, advising, benchmarking, & evaluating the county's economic development programs and activities and provide written evaluation of the economic development director's performance to the county administrator.

Meeting Schedule: Quarterly on the 3rd Wednesday, at 8:30 a.m. (March, June, September, & December). Meeting Locations TBA
